With darker skin types, we have to be even more careful with laser devices for risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. In order to address her #skin concerns, we used PicoSure laser treatment which works to deliver rapid energy spurts to the target area to vibrate and break apart darker pigments and damaged cells within the skin. Unlike heat-based technologies, this laser treatment employs advanced versatility to promote a natural healing process and achieve results with precision.

I earned my Medical Degree from UC Irvine and completed my residency in Dermatology at UCLA. Upon completing my residency, I joined the full-time faculty at UCLA as a Clinical Instructor and Professor in Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery. I then went on to complete advanced fellowship training in Dermatologic Surgery at UC Davis and Cosmetic Dermatology at the Laser and Skin Surgery Center of Northern California with world-renowned expert, Dr. Suzanne Kilmer. After fellowship, I was appointed the Director of Dermatologic Surgery at the Laser & Skin Surgery Center of Northern California where I remained active in clinical trials and have been on the forefront of the latest advances in aesthetics and dermatology. As an Orange County native, I love the SoCal community and currently enjoy being a Dermatologist in Newport Beach, CA.
My areas of expertise include cosmetic dermatology with a focus on injectable neuromodulators (Botox, Dysport, Xeomin), as well as dermal fillers (Juvederm, Voluma, Volbella, Vollure, Sculptra, Restylane, Belotero, and Radiesse). In addition, I travel nationally and internationally where I teach other physicians injection techniques and about the latest advances in dermatology. I am highly-trained in the use of lasers and energy-based devices to treat all aspects of photoaging, including fine lines, wrinkles, skin laxity, brown spots and facial vessels. I offer a comprehensive approach to body contouring with the use of minimally-invasive procedures. I received picosure laser treatment for my acne scars and a really stubborn sun spot. I thought I would have to get a major laser treatment like fraxel, but after speaking to a dermatologist, we chose picosure, which is often used to remove tattoos and work better on skin with more melanin. The results were not only positive for my acne scars and hyperpigmentation, but faded my sun spot and a funny wrinkle that I didn’t even notice from before. I can’t believe how far my skin has come. Editing this video really changed the way I saw my skin. Here’s a thorough walkthrough of what to expect before, during and after this treatment.

Medicare Explained, understanding Medicare, Medicare made clear. In this video I am going help you learn about Medicare explained in an easy to understand format. By the end of this video Medicare will be made clear for you. You will understand how Medicare works.
Once you understand the Medicare basics of Part A and Medicare Part B, you will be faced with choosing one of three paths to take with your Medicare. .
Medicare Part A is that portion of your health insurance that pays for your healthcare whenever you are an inpatient in a medical facility. As soon as you become an inpatient in a hospital, Medicare Part A takes over. The same when you become an inpatient in a skilled nursing facility or hospice. The one exception is that if you are not able to physically get to a medical facility for healthcare, Medicare Part A also pays for home healthcare.
Think of Medicare Part A is inpatient insurance.
Medicare Part B is the part of Medicare that pays for outpatient and physician services.
This is the portion Medicare insurance you use when you see a doctor or have lab tests or physical therapy and so on. Medicare Part B also includes some wellness coverage.
Medicare Part B is the part of Medicare people use most often because most of our medical care is via outpatient services. Even many surgeries and hospital services are now done as an outpatient and are thus covered under Medicare Part B.
It is important that this Medicare explained video communicate what you need to know about Medicare. Understanding Medicare is important. So Medicare made clear is the first step to making an informed decision.
Your Original Medicare (Part A & B) is good anywhere in the country. You can see any doctor, go to any medical facility in any state or territory, as long as they accept Medicare. You do not need to get permission from a primary care physician. You have both freedom to go where you need and control to see who you choose.
Also it is important to understand that Medicare Advantage Plans are local coverage. If you are a snowbird, and RVer or just travel the country that should rule MAPD as an option.
